Hospital Indemnity

A hospital stay can bring unexpected costs on top of an already stressful time. Hospital Indemnity, administered by Voya, pays you a cash benefit for a covered hospital stay — for illness or injury, on or off the job.

How it Works

With Hospital Indemnity, you and your covered dependents receive a set cash benefit based on the length of your hospital stay, with coverage for both illness and injury. You can use the benefit however you need — to help cover costs your medical plan doesn't, or for everyday expenses.

Earn Money for Health Screenings

You and your covered dependents can each earn a $75 wellness benefit for completing a health screening or test — everything from annual physicals to colonoscopies and mammograms. Click here to view a full list of eligible screenings.

Earn up to $225 per covered participant. You’ll earn $75 for each Accident Insurance, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity plan you and your covered dependents are enrolled in.

Benefit Cost

Hospital Indemnity insurance is 100% Coworker paid.

2027 SINOT STD Bi-Weekly Premiums — Puerto Rico

Seguro por Incapacidad No Ocupacional Temporal (SINOT) is a state-mandated STD program required for Puerto Rico Coworkers.
SINOT premiums are deducted from your paychecks on an after-tax basis.

* Each covered person has their own $6,000 deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. Once one person reaches $6,000, the plan pays 100% of that person's in-network covered costs for the rest of the year, even if the family total of $17,400 has not been met.

‍*** No one person pays more than $6,000 in a year, even on family coverage. Once one person reaches $6,000, the plan pays 100% of that person's in-network covered costs for the rest of the year, even if the family total of $12,000 has not been met.

Hospital Indemnity — Benefit Amounts

* If you are enrolled in Hospital Indemnity coverage, and if child coverage is effective before birth or elected within 60 days after birth, your newborn will receive the same cash benefits as you. If you don’t enroll in child coverage within that timeframe, you’ll receive a one‑time $300 newborn benefit at birth.
